About the Artist

b. 1989. From Butler, NJ. Brian Frerichs is an American multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina. His paintings and drawings explore the organic beauty of nature through his highly detailed, surrealistic style. His acrylic paintings depict soulful animals painted into brightly colored geometric backgrounds. This juxtaposition of the real and the fantastic is a signature characteristic of his work. Evident in his black and white illustrations as well, the viewer can enjoy a whimsical realm in which happy creatures lead exciting lives ‘collecting’ their favorite things!

In addition to pursuing traditional mediums, (acrylic paint + ink) Brian co-owns and operates an artistic woodworking business with his beautiful wife, Tracy. Together they founded ‘Forested Way’ LLC, in 2017.
